Nice hotel but problems with staff

The hotel is nice and in a good location. However, I encountered two problems. One, a friend brought by a surprise gift to the hotel for the staff to give to me. The staff never gave me the gift, and when I emailed them about it afterwards, no one ever responded. The second problem involved getting into the building at night. There are signs everywhere saying bring your key because no one is working from 11 pm-7am. When I got back at night, however, the door was bolted and the key wouldn't work. Finally, someone came and told me he had locked the door. This gave me a huge scare, though. I was contemplating having to find another hotel in the middle of the night. Why would you add an extra lock to the door, when the door is already locked and inaccessible other to people staying there? It made no sense. The locked door combined with the gift I never received made my stay less than ideal.

Great great hotel vibe. Very clean. The staff are exceptional. The room was very spacious. All updated room with cool furniture . A must stay of every in Brussels. Our first time. The food was fabulous. The service was as great. We had the chicken dinner and I had the pasta dinner.

The Hotel Saint Gery is a cutting edge hotel with reasonable prices, the Hotel is located in the heart of Brussels and his Restaurant Dandy is great for his kitchen and of course unique fries (the hit of the city) the place is awesome for a date before evening or for a dinner if you are lucky to have a table, recommended to go for lunch and you would get an awesome experience, the rooms are cutting edge designs, we had one with a bath tub which we could telax from the trip, multiple stores nearby awesomely convinient and a super kind staff, which you better speak french with.

This location is in the center of outdoor entertainment. I booked without knowing as nothing indicated this. I inquired with front desk staff when the music stops. She did not know. I let them know this music continued well past 2:30 am. They gave me a different room around the corner from the other room. Same thing. I alerted them via e mail. At this time they offered a room on the top floor. They would not honor any chance to reimburse me for this stay.

Triples & Quads Beware! I have never rated a place this low. The reason it’s getting even 3 stars is because it was a beautiful and large room. A king bed! Plus a sofa sleeper. And price was average to good. Everything seemed clean and new. It was on the top 4 th floor. Nice looking room but SO hot. It was about 75 degrees outside that day. Thermostat was locked to go no lower than 20 degrees which I think is about 70 F. But I would’ve froze if it was that temp. At home I keep it 77-78 degrees. This felt like 80+. The desk clerk said nothing could be done. The room had one fan. I think it may have been the only room that slept more than two. It felt like the same temp as the hallway and that wasn’t air- conditioned and got noticeably cooler as you walked down. By morning the a/ c appeared to be working. The only windows were skylights. We were on the front side of the hotel and in what seemed to be one of the most happening squares in Brussels. We had to open the skylights because of the heat and it was still way too warm- hardly made a difference.- and was so , so loud I didn’t fall asleep for 3 hours. Neither did my sister. It was very loud until about 11:30 and then moderately loud till I fell asleep after 1:00. Voices and cars drag- racing . All in all, a miserable night. In addition , the shower was not in a closed - off area, so no privacy. There was a coffee machine( Nespresso) but no cream ( I did ask ). At some point in the night , one of the other two occupants shut the skylights. At 7:30 am the garbage and recycling trucks came through. I heard it though I was already awake- it didn’t wake me up. Even if you are only two, you’d do well to ask for a room not over the street if you want to sleep.
